This weekend we went to Yosemite National Park, California!
After a long drive to the campground we took our hiking shoes and backpacks and hurried to Yosemite to have as much time as possible there. The first thing we saw was a beautiful waterfall called The Bridal Veil Falls. You had to take a little hike up there to be able to see it up close.
After that, we decided that we would go and eat so we got pizza in Curry Village. After the delicious pizza we went back to the visitor center to watch a movie called Return to Balance: A Climber’s Journey where the famous climber Ron Kauk climbed and talked about nature and life.
After the movie we actually got to meet Ron Kauk! He was super nice and he is a really good climber! After hanging out with him we went back home to the RV.
The next day we went to Yosemite we decided to bring our bikes with us! First we went on a Junior Ranger Walk. The topic was human history in Yosemite so the Ranger told us about the Indians that lived there and how they lived there. We got to learn that they knew what they could eat by watching animals. They came to the conclusion that if an animal could it a berry for example, they could probably eat it too! After the walk we got our Junior Ranger Badges and Patches.
After that we went back to the car and got our bikes. We then biked to Camp 4 to see some bouldering climbers. There we met some people and since we had our shoes with us we could climb as well! It was awesome!
Yosemite was really awesome; there was so much to see and a lot of awesome things to do!
